Greetings Reuse Fans,
Last Friday, I went with Terry Wiles (our Community Outreach Coordinator) to visit Salvaged PGH. While CJ is, of course, a nonprofit, Salvaged PGH is a for-profit salvage retail operation in Wexford, PA. They are also a new sponsor for the 12th year of CJ’s annual fundraiser the Steel City Big Pour, so we wanted to call out their support for CJ and their own work to promote reuse!
If you are looking for barn wood, and some other cool finds, this is the place to go. While CJ occasionally gets access to barns, and our crew has some barn deconstruction experience, Salvaged PGH has barns lined up to deconstruct for most of the summer! CJ and Salvage PGH are discussing some joint projects because they have less space and are not set up to take the volume and variety of materials CJ can accept. They send people to CJ “all the time,” so we would like to return the favor.
Brian Cooper, Owner, and Tracy Rittle, General Manager, are in a great location. They are just off Route 19– almost across the street from Aldi’s. The specific address is 251 Church Road. Check them out and tell them “CJ sent you.”

There are many different ways to promote reuse and we encourage you to support as many as you can! In the case of a nonprofit like CJ, support also includes sponsoring a fundraiser or project – and we’re grateful to Salvaged PGH for their Steel City Big Pour sponsorship!
