Today is the beginning of the 37th Annual Pittsburgh Home & Garden Show at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center! If you are planning on attending, we hope that you will stop by and see what the Construction Junction booth (#3212) has to show you this year. We really tried to bring the full CJ behind-the-scenes warehouse experience to the show this year. You have to check it out! Way back in 1997, Construction Junction had their first booth appearance. We wouldn’t even have our first store location open for another 2 years after that! The exposure that having a presence at the show, and the assistance of their Executive Director, John DeSantis, has been extremely helpful to CJ over the years. We truly appreciate being a part of this excellent event. Whether you are looking to remodel your kitchen or bathroom, replace your windows, add a new rug or a fancy set of frying pans to your home, there are so many vendors to check out this year. Our friends from Stormworks have a booth showcasing their options to help with rain water management, too. You can even grab a beer from North Country Brewing Co. featuring hops that were grown on the Convention Center roof!

We’ve done just about everything with our booth over the last 22 years, from amazing kitchen sets that many attendees couldn’t believe were a second-hand item, to amazing vintage farmhouse sinks, custom painted furniture, and just about everything in between. We know that for many, the Home Show is their first introduction to CJ. While many people are their looking for something new, remember that you can find out more about our donation and deconstruction services. When the time comes to remodel, we hope that you remember that many of those materials you are looking to replace can make their way to others who may have another use for them. If you are inspired by our display to come shopping at the store, we’ll have discount cards you can use for your next in-store purchase! We have so many great things coming up in April for our Earth Month celebration, so make sure to keep an eye on our CJ Calendar and future blog posts to see all that will be happening and plan a visit!
