Greetings Reuse Fans,
This is a friendly reminder that CJ accepts hardware, tools and lawn & garden equipment! So as you emerge from your winter hibernation and start cleaning out your garage, basement or garden shed (or your business, trade school, warehouse, workshop, etc.), please bring your materials to CJ!
During the winter months, the volume of donated materials we receive at the loading dock declines substantially! And most of what we receive at our dock are all those materials mentioned above. So help us stock up on garden trowels, shovels, terra cotta flower pots, hedge clippers, screw drivers, files, saws hammers – you know…all that stuff taking up space in the corner of your garage or basement!
Also, if you are getting your house ready for sale this spring you might think about putting together a collection of materials (lumber in 4 ft or longer pieces, wood furniture, metal patio furniture and those garden tools and hardware), and who knows you may even have enough material for a free pick up!
CJ can be useful if you have a relative who has died and you need to clean out your loved one’s home. This can be an overwhelming time, with a lot on your plate. We can help. Think about donating those materials to CJ, or if you have materials remaining after an estate sale.
We have been making reuse easier for 20 years! Take advantage of our services, keep good stuff in the community for reuse and don’t forget the tax deduction!
Thanks for all the great comments we received at the Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show! We were glad to speak with so many great CJ supporters and hopefully made a few new ones. If you were successful in finding some renovation inspiration, please contact our donations department and assure that the still usable materials from your project bypass the landfill and complete the material reuse cycle.
