Greetings reuse fans,
Thank you, we made it through the first week! We did decide on more hours changes (sorry about that) as a result of our experience this past week.
We have also set each Wednesday from 9 to 10am as a designated shopping time only for at-risk shoppers. These schedule changes are due to the need to limit contact to keep employees, donors, and customers safe, but is also a result of being short staffed. The shopping and donation volume is very close to what we experienced before the lock down but our staff has been greatly reduced. Keep an eye out for some CJ job postings in the near future!
We are happy to report we only had to ask one person to come back with their mask on! We also loaned 2 face shields for use in the store to two customers who had asthma. Please remember your mask and to keep up the social distance. Some new research is suggesting we go to 10 feet for distance. We want to encourage everyone to create as much distance as possible with a minimum of 6 feet. More distance is obviously better when you are shopping!
We do want to let you know that over the weekend you are likely to have to wait in line to enter the store, we appreciate your patience. If you find items on our featured inventory site that you’re interested in purchasing, remember to utilize our text line for assistance. We are happy to schedule a pickup time for all phone sales and sold storage is just $5 per order for up to 7 days of storage. Just an FYI, during the week it is much less crowded.
Thank you for supporting reuse in these difficult times,
Mike Gable
