Associate Professor of City & Regional Planning and Historic Preservation at the University of Pennsylvania’s Stuart Weitzman School of Design. Her research focuses on the social, material, and cultural life of North American cities, from World War II to the present. She is particularly interested in the history of urban revitalization, with an emphasis on urban renewal
Holds a PhD at the Delft University of Technology on Transformable Building Structures, and Design for Disassembly in Architecture. As associate professor at the University of Twente, she developed a master program for dynamic and sustainable buildings that introduced green engineering in industrial design of architecture.
