Construction Junction has been a part of Pittsburgh for nearly 20 years, so when our community suffers a tragic and painful loss, we feel that loss profoundly along side our Squirrel Hill neighbors.
As an organization with employees and Board members who have been in Pittsburgh for much longer, we have many deep connections to this place and those who lives were tragically and senselessly taken at the Tree of Life Synagogue. Sadly, our community now carries a burden of perseverance that comes with living in a place that has experienced something we would all rather believe “can’t happen here” and what to do when it does.
At CJ, we will look for ways to strengthen our connection to our place, this amazing city that we call home. We will continue to welcome all people to participate in our mission and look for ways to change people’s lives for the better through purpose and work. We will continue to be a place where anyone can express values of caring for the environment and each other.
This is the work we will continue to do to define who we are, our city, our region, and stand with all of Pittsburgh to be #StrongerThanHate.
We encourage everyone who is able to make a contribution to one of the funds that has been set up to help the survivors and the families of the victims. We will be doing the same.
