Season’s Greetings Reuse Fans,
It gets a little quiet around CJ towards the end of December (better to hear the reindeer landing on the roof). We know we are not on the top of many lists of places to shop for gifts to put under the tree, but we would encourage you to think outside the “gift’ box and imagine the delight that a unique gift for CJ might produce.
How about a clawfoot tub or a cool antique stove to greet your spouse on Christmas morning! Or a stocking full of crystal door knobs! You could set up a bookcase and fill it with wrapped goodies! We also just picked up a large assortment of new shower surrounds and fancy whirlpool tubs-that’s a fun and affordable idea for relaxing after surviving your packed holiday schedule! But to give the gift of reuse you only have today and tomorrow (Saturday) to shop!
And if you already finished your holiday boost to the regular economy, remember the circular economy needs your stuff to make it go. So if you find the latest power tool in your stocking and your old one still works–donate it. Someone else gets to use it and you support CJ’s operations to keep reusable building materials from the landfill. So be a part of the circular economy this holiday season and onward into the New Year–the planet, CJ and all the other nonprofit reuse stores need you!
