The program is simple! Think about it like this: if a company has a green LEED rated building, it identifies its commitment to the environment by posting a beautiful plaque (usually at the entrance of your building), signaling to customers the company’s values and concern for resource conservation.

We want businesses with a commitment to reuse to have an easy way to let their customers know “Hey, we don’t throw reusable material into the landfill!” and that they encourage the reuse of building materials. We value resource conservation!

In the case of Allegheny Millwork, they are posting customized Material Donor information in their beautiful, new kitchen showroom. Choosing to buy a new kitchen from AM, means you will receive information on the benefits of reuse through donating your old kitchen to CJ! Donating will make you feel even better about your new kitchen, with the sale of your donated items supporting CJ’s operations, programs and partnerships. The AM sales staff can also provide contact information for an independent certified appraiser to answer your questions about the potential value of your donated kitchen and whether an official appraisal is a step you may want to consider.
