Nominations are now closed for the 2025 Cee Jay Awards, celebrating outstanding achievements in creative reuse! Know a designer, builder, architect, DIYer—or are you one yourself—who’s making an impact through reuse, repurposing, or refinishing? Nominate them (or yourself!) by September 15, 2025. You may nominate a project under more than one category.
The simple nomination form gathers basic details about the nominee and the project, along with a short explanation of why the work deserves recognition.

A Cee Jay Award
Last year’s stage for the Cee Jay Awards
Recognizes an outstanding environmental reuse project led by an individual or group under 18 that creatively utilizes material reuse.
Recognizes projects that creatively incorporate salvaged lumber and/or urban wood, showcasing environmental stewardship through material reuse, waste reduction, and the promotion of sustainable building practices
Awarded to a project that demonstrates exceptional impact by diverting the highest volume of materials from landfill, promoting sustainability, resource conservation, and environmental stewardship through innovative reuse or recycling efforts.
Recognizes a DIY homeowner project that creatively reuses materials to transform or renovate a room/space, demonstrating resourcefulness, sustainability, and environmental impact through reuse and repurposing.
Recognizes outstanding achievement in the adaptive reuse (using a structure for other than its original purpose) of an existing structure, honoring the architect, contractor, or building owner whose project demonstrates creativity, sustainability, and environmental stewardship through reuse and revitalization.
Recognizes a new construction project that exemplifies the innovative and effective reuse of materials. Open to architects, contractors, or building owners who integrate reclaimed or repurposed materials to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability.
Recognizes an innovative art piece that creatively repurposes materials, promoting environmental sustainability through reuse and inspiring eco-conscious thinking in design and artistic expression.
Recognizes exceptional creativity in transforming used furniture through repurposing or refinishing. Honoring projects that give old pieces new life, blending craftsmanship, sustainability, and design to reduce waste and inspire reuse.
Finalists will then be chosen by a committee comprised of experts from leading environmental organizations, designers, and architects, alongside Construction Junction staff and board members.
Awardees will be notified and announced at the CeeJay Awards and Fundraiser on October 24, 2025, at the New Hazlett Theater.
