Greeting reuse fans,
Last Saturday, Missy and I had the pleasure of being interviewed by the weekly podcast, YaJagOff! Podcast, hosted by John Chamberlin and Rachel Rennebeck. The podcast focuses on local stuff and they reached out to us to see if we would chat about CJ – who we are and what we do! But they did not stop at just CJ, asking us to invite some of our partners who work in the reuse and recycling field. So we took them up on it. Joining us for the podcast were Sarah Alessio Shea, the acting managing director of the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) and Bob Myers, the Executive Director of Off the Floor Pittsburgh. If you want to find out what we all do, tune into the podcast, YaJagOff! (sorry could not resist).
As an added bonus you won’t just get to hear from three nonprofits focused on reuse, recycling and helping folks who need furniture, but CJ was offered the opportunity to select the music for the program. Hilary Borneo, who plays a mean steel drum was recruited by the Afro American Music Institute in Homewood to provide the music for the interview. Hilary’s music transported all of us to climates far warmer than Pittsburgh in January. The program closed out with the added guest, Michele Burchfield, the founder of Blume Honey Water. We did not know she was joining the podcast, but even she is a CJ partner as Bloom is a featured nonalcoholic beverage at the Steel City Big Pour!
The video recording of the interviews will be posted on YaJagOff!’s FB page. The FB recording will be the unedited version. The actual edited podcast will be on KDKA on Monday (2/8) morning and on the YaJagOff! website Tuesday. We will share the links when we have them!
We had a great time with the podcast host and hope you check it out.
Reduce, reuse, recycle, ya jagoffs!
