Greetings reuse fans,
Thank you for the strong support in the month of September on both the donation and sales front! We have no immediate plans to adjust our hours so please help us spread the word. We have new signs up, and our hour and location message has been updated. We appreciate your patience during our period of shifting schedules.
As a board member of the Pennsylvania Resources Council, I want to make a personal plug to purchase tickets to the organization’s annual fundraiser, the Wild and Scenic Film Festival. It is, shocker, a virtual event which in this case has an additional benefit. Not only are you supporting the work of PRC, but you can access the film festival on your computer at your convenience for five days after the October 15th 7:00 PM start time. The environmental community has always been challenged with the concept of convenience – well you’ve got five days to watch a collection of great, inspiring short films tackling a variety of environmental issues and viewing some incredible scenery.
PRC launched Construction Junction over 20 years ago, so we have a special relationship with this 80 year old environmental nonprofit. Recently, PRC has been a driving force in responding to public demand for glass recycling. PRC’s traveling glass bin has collected over 58 tons of glass from 9 municipalities since June of this year and has received national press for this innovative programing!
So buy your ticket today and turn your screen into something wild and scenic!
Thank you for supporting reuse and recycling,
Mike Gable
