It’s dorm furniture time at CJ! We will be receiving numerous trailer loads of high quality dorm furniture over the next few weeks. The first load of dressers arrived earlier this week. It was a timely arrival as our friends from Off The Floor Pittsburgh were able to benefit from a “CJ ReGives”! The organization picked up 12 “much needed” dressers before we even started unloading the trailer!

Off the Floor Pittsburgh is a local non-profit which, since 2004, has provided basic used furniture like beds, dressers, tables, and chairs to disadvantaged families who lack these items. The other important thing to know about Off the Floor is they will accept donations of mattresses. An important disclaimer is the mattresses need to be “stain free” and in good to excellent condition. Visit their website for details and please don’t use this organization as a replacement for disposing of mattresses in poor condition.
CJ ReGives is our way of donating back to other nonprofits. With a lot of hard work from our Donations & Logistics department, our warehouse team, and our retail crew, CJ benefits from having a large facility enabling us to take large quantities of material, such as 100+ rooms of dorm furniture! Our ReGives program only works with nonprofit organizations (schools, education/art programs, and churches to name just a few). In our recent customer survey, CJ ReGives was our “least recognized program” so please spread the word. We are not always in a position to ReGive but we can’t determine if we can help until an organization asks!
