Earth Month Returns To CJ This April

In the winter of 2017, the staff at CJ had a discussion on how we could better celebrate Earth Day. We wanted to do more than just one day of acknowledgement and cupcakes. We brainstormed and started contacting some of our partner organizations and they were all too busy with their own Earth Day festivities to come and celebrate with us. So instead of just one day, we decided to do a month long celebration so that we involve many organizations and friends to come and celebrate when their schedules would allow, since everyone gets so booked up on actual Earth Day.  And that, my friends, is how Earth Month was born at CJ!

We had so much fun last year with Earth Month we decided to do it again! A lot of our environmental friends are coming back with some new additions.

#EarthMonth2019 is packed with visiting vendors, partnering organizations and exciting repurposed products we will be selling at the store. We will have worm castings, rubber mulch made from recycled tires, recycled colored glass mulch and a bunch of reusable material you can use in your garden or yard.

Handy Andy will be with us April 7th from 11am to 3pm answering all your lawn and garden questions and giving consultations about HydroBlox®.

Blackberry Meadows Farms will be with us every weekend in April selling their delicious bratwursts and lovely farm fresh produce. Make sure you stop by and chat with them about their seedling subscription program.

Our lovely partners at the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) will be teaching two classes here. April 6th is the Composting Class and April 20th is the Rain Barrel Class. Also make sure you stop by their table on April 6th to find out about all the Hard to Recycle, Household Chemical Collection and glass recycling events in our area.

And don’t forget, APRIL 27th…. Handmade Arcade will be here for their Show and Sell: a pop up market. It’s basically a mini Handmade Arcade event that CJ is hosting! There will be food trucks, 30 new artists, and also cider and coffee tasting on site. So please stop by Construction Junction in April to celebrate our 2nd Annual Earth Month Celebration.
