Greetings reuse fans,
We hope everyone is “hanging in there”. Our deepest thanks to the 8 CJ reuse fans who responded to our call for donations! We raised $500.00 last week.
Wow, and overflowing thanks to everyone who has been calling in to the store to make purchases of materials over the phone. We will continue to be “open” for phone sales only, and we have a designated pick up area where you can schedule a time to pick up your purchase. Sadly, as everyone is likely aware, we cannot assist you with loading your purchase. We will give you a big smile and an enthusiastic wave to you from behind the dock doors.
We are continuing to put more of our inventory online and we have started eBay sales so please keep checking in with us. We have been putting more “small lots” of flooring and tile on our site, which we normally don’t have time to do. So if you have a small tile project, we may have just the right amount for your reuse inspiration!
CJ is continuing to be focused on our commitment to the community. We have reached out to 412 Food Rescue and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and offered the use of our trucks and drivers. We have also contacted Global Links with a similar offer. We will let you know as these opportunities are developed, because we will likely assist in calling for volunteers if the plans need your support. Stay tuned. We have another partnership project in the pipeline which I will tell you about next week.
Finally, we sincerely hope that you will “hold on” to any material donations you discover, or had planned to contact us about for a pick up. We assume that folks will be doing a lot of “spring cleaning” of basements and garages during the extra time you are spending at home. We will need that material (in a big way) when things start to get back to normal. Please hold on to it and feed CJ, not the landfill.
Thank you for supporting reuse!
