Greetings Reuse Fans,
This week, I wanted to take some time to showcase the small role CJ gets to play in interesting projects in the area through our Regives program. This program caters specifically to organizations and institutions whose focus is largely environmental, educational or art!
Check out Bricolage’s Imaginarium, a live action adventure where immersive theater meets escape room. Lots of CJ materials were used to create this attraction! It’s getting rave reviews, so if you need something to do this weekend (after visiting CJ, of course) we recommend this one!
Hampton School District students took inspiration from Project RE_ in a visit to Construction Junction for some of the design of their tiny house project, built out of reused materials! We always like exposing students to reuse. We also donated materials to the Hopewell school district to help them create unique study environments.
Materials also went to the Rachel Carson Homestead , Point Park University’s Pittsburgh Playhouse, Wheek Care Guinea Pig Rescue, East End Cooperative Ministries, Maya Organization (a full service adoption agency), Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse and more. So far, 25 organizations have received gifts through ReGives in 2016. We regret that we have a limited capacity to donate materials, but we encourage you to visit the page on our website, tell us about your project, and we will do our best to determine if we can assist you!
Reuse builds stronger communities.
