Greetings Reuse Fans,
It’s Pittsburgh Home And Garden Show time! The concept of CJ was first introduced to the Pittsburgh remodeling public at the Home Show back in 1997, two years before the first CJ store actually opened. It was an excellent venue to let people know the resource was coming. We cannot express our appreciation enough to the Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show for donating booth space to CJ in support of our nonprofit mission! It has allowed us to connect with the community and repurpose an estimated 35 to 40 million pounds of building materials that would have gone to the landfill.
This year, we’re excited to tell you about the booth’s very different look. We are showcasing some of our most dramatic pieces recently salvaged by our deconstruction crew, and also will have some of our valued added products for sale at the booth (#3212) – including bowling alley tables and some of our chalk boards, all Constructed At The Junction from salvaged and donated materials. A large bar included in the booth was salvaged from the former Houlihan’s restaurant in Station Square, a piece we saved right before demolition began!
Besides dropping by to see a booth unlike any CJ booth you have seen in the past, we want to hear about your past CJ renovation projects. We are collecting reuse stories as part of our 20th anniversary year so if you have a past project to share, please give the booth staff your name and email so we can get in contact with you to get your CJ renovation story.
And don’t forget to pick up your 20% off discount card at the booth!
